About BAS ATELIER

An eye for space.
A hand in the material.

I came to sculpture through architecture, with an enduring interest in how a surface changes the space around it. BAS ATELIER grew from that attention to form, texture, and light.

I return to forms shaped slowly: an eroded edge, a fold, the meeting of land and body. Carving holds something of that movement. Light allows it to continue.

Based in Miami, the atelier works from the first sketch through material studies, fabrication, and installation coordination. Each scale asks for its own rigor.
